DARLENE OCHOTTA

​I came to the Silk Weaving Studio in spring 2013 after one year studying Textile Arts and a lifetime of "making." 
Architecture school provided my formal design education—a grounding in materials, structure and composition.
​Working with fibre is expanding my understanding of colour and texture.

All of this happily comes together on the loom. It is very gratifying to weave for those who appreciate
handmade cloth. I am just beginning to comprehend the vast world that has opened up to me in the studio!
