Cathy Joyce
Before I moved to Canada four years ago, I used to visit the Silk Weaving Studio on my trips to Vancouver just to breath in the colour and the texture and the creativity which bursts from that small building. Part of the dream that brought me here was the chance to make and sell my crafts. The opportunity to work with this amazing team of people has made that dream has come true. I enjoy developing knitting projects for the extensive range of yarns at the studio as well as designing and making my own garments and jewellery based around silk.
This year I have been very lucky to be taught and encouraged as a weaver and, although I still have a great deal still to learn, I am very proud to be the newest member of the production weaving team.
